Normally I would wait a few weeks before upgrading, to give the bugs a chance to sort themselves out. But I couldn’t wait to take WordPress 2.5 for a spin — so here it is, on the very day it was released. So far, everything seems fine. My plugins are working, as far as I can tell, and the site looks normal — except for the admin area, which is quite different. It will take some getting used to.
One thing I like already is being able to write my post in full-screen mode. Very nice. On the other hand, I wish they hadn’t relegated the category area to the new spot below the post. I have a hard enough time remembering to pick a category before hitting publish even when it’s right in my field of vision.
I’m particularly excited about two new conditional tags: is_front_page() and is_single(array()) — both of which I need for a project I’m working on right now. Truly, the timing could not be more perfect.
I love WordPress!

Yeah, it looks good to me. I wonder if you’ll get the wordpress people commenting on your blog. I liked what the Zemanta dude had to say last post!
I liked what the Zemanta dude said, too, and I sent them a fairly detailed email in response. The fact that they responded so quickly & carefully really changed my feelings about the product. “Wow, the developers really care & believe in what they’re doing; maybe I’ll give it a second chance.”
There must be a moral in there somewhere…
I’m having probs with wp 2.5 :(
1. Dont have visual section when writing post.
2. Can’t upload pictures.
Did you try reinstalling?
