since I posted a cute kid photo. Here’s little Imelda Marcos. And in case you’re wondering what’s on his mind these days you can read about it here.

What a fantastic little piece of writing you linked us to. I remember my son at that age. Thanks for the memories!
Too funny.
My oldest step brother started calling me “Amelda” a combo of my name with “Imelda” when I used to pack a suitcase of just shoes to take to my dad’s for the weekend. Hey you never know what kind of show you might need!
Fire trucks, indeed. :) (He’s beautiful by the way and growing fast!)
Ah, the joy of 2 year olds!! That was fun to read….
That is really hilarious! I can just feel that age and that excitement.
How cute! What is it about shoes and kids that age?
For a while my Isaac would only wear a pair of ruby slippers that he picked up at a daycare. What I love is that totally innocent and serious look they shoot you when you giggle. You got a problem with this outfit? Who are you, the fashion police?
That article is HILARIOUS. Bitchphd linked to it and it set off a huge debate about sexism. But my very girly girl got just as excited about firetrucks as a preschooler. Her childcare center was right down the street from a fire station, providing much entertainment every day.
Oh, the fire truck article is so true–my boys went through that phase about any sort of large vehicle, and my daughter gets pretty excited about them too. For some reason, school buses are a source of rapt attention. Maybe becasue they’re large and powerful, and also bright yellow.
Look @ that expression!
One of my daughters adores shoes. Luckily, she indulged her passion at the thrift store 2 Channukah’s ago on 70% off day. Near new shoes were only 75 cents each! (Her ft had stopped growing she said & they had until see below.)
Her dorm room has very little space. We knew she’s be walking and wear those sneakers out. Sent her down with 2 pair. One bit the dust recently. Fedexed a 1/2 sizze larger “normal” pair of sneaks to her. I told her I grew in college b4 she left. I can’t say “I told her so.” LOL
So darn cute. I love the two-different-shoe look. My kids do this all the time. Sometimes I wish I could pull it off!
Nothing like a “cute kid photo” to start off my day!
Heh heh, glad you all enjoyed. I also have photos of him wearing pink sparkly sandals, Barbie flip-flops, men’s size 13 workboots….
Elswhere, wow! A fire station right down the street from the daycare? That’s reason enough to choose that particular daycare!
Martha, Daniel loves school buses too!
