My son Joey, age 9, professes to love “dark humor.”

Sometimes, he gives us an unintentional dose of it. The other day we were driving through a construction zone and all of a sudden he exclaimed, “Oh my GOD! Who would want to kill a worker?”

He thought the warning sign was an offer.

    OMG. Reminds me of the time I was negotiating for our first allowance. My mom asked how a quarter sounded, and my younger brother asked our mother–”You mean we have to pay you a quarter?”
