Par-TEE!

Don’t know what possessed us, but we told Joey he could invite three friends over for a slumber party. Here they are. Joey’s on the far left.

Can you tell what they’re eating? No? Here’s a close up:

It’s a disposable diaper with a Snickers bar melted into it.

Oh, to be nine years old!

Julie, what a great idea for nine year old boys! I’m going to do this for my son’s birthday, and I won’t tell him until ‘the moment’ of consumption. They’ll love it!

(Too many !’s but it’s a great idea, and I am excited.)

My immediate reaction was what Ginger commented with. So ditto that.

    The boys’ expressions are hilarious.

What a great idea, and what great parents for having a slumber party for so many kids.

    Way to go!

Wild, and yet disgusting. The memories of having to deal with The Real Thing are way too fresh for me….

Brilliant idea. I’ve got girls, and I kind of doubt that they’ll be into this game. But maybe some day?

Wow! That post got me more comments, and in a shorter time, than any other so far. Ha ha! Sorry if it grossed you out (especially sorry for Guusje — I forgot about your stomach flu!).

Mrsd, for future reference, here’s how we did it. We used Snickers, Hershey’s milk chocolate, and Twix bars, broken into large chunks. The kids heaped them in the center of the diapers and added a few mini marshmallows for extra, um, texture. Then we nuked ‘em for 45-60 seconds on high. Surprising the kids would be fun, though these guys did enjoy the assembly. My husband says to tell you he recommends using candy bars that have a caramel component for added aesthetic value. His words, not mine! (Scrivener, you might want to write this down, too. Just in case.)

And I have to give credit where credit is due. This project was entirely Joey’s idea. He read about it in one of those Kids’ Bathroom Reader books. I had no idea it was also a baby shower game!

So… was there a point to using diapers, other than it just being weird and gross? :p

Oh that is disgusting. I am going to go eat my hubby’s fresh made nacho’s now and try to forget ever seeing that.

You’ve got a point, Julie, about the assembly. Maybe I’ll surprise them with a ‘fresh’ diaper, and then let them make their own.

Thanks to your husband for the caramel tip. Whatever it takes to gross/delight boys 10 and under. ;)

Oh, my 8 yo will love that. I was thinking of letting him have a sleepover this summer and that would be really interesting for them to do. LOL So gross!

    Priceless pix………..hahahah
I remember finally succumbing to their pleas for a slumber party. We also began in small doses, too.
