Julie, what a great idea for nine year old boys! I’m going to do this for my son’s birthday, and I won’t tell him until ‘the moment’ of consumption. They’ll love it!

Mrsd, for future reference, here’s how we did it. We used Snickers, Hershey’s milk chocolate, and Twix bars, broken into large chunks. The kids heaped them in the center of the diapers and added a few mini marshmallows for extra, um, texture. Then we nuked ‘em for 45-60 seconds on high. Surprising the kids would be fun, though these guys did enjoy the assembly. My husband says to tell you he recommends using candy bars that have a caramel component for added aesthetic value. His words, not mine! (Scrivener, you might want to write this down, too. Just in case.)
And I have to give credit where credit is due. This project was entirely Joey’s idea. He read about it in one of those Kids’ Bathroom Reader books. I had no idea it was also a baby shower game!
So… was there a point to using diapers, other than it just being weird and gross? :p
Oh that is disgusting. I am going to go eat my hubby’s fresh made nacho’s now and try to forget ever seeing that.
You’ve got a point, Julie, about the assembly. Maybe I’ll surprise them with a ‘fresh’ diaper, and then let them make their own.

Oh, my 8 yo will love that. I was thinking of letting him have a sleepover this summer and that would be really interesting for them to do. LOL So gross!
